Football Fans Are Spending More Than Ever

Football fans are spending more than ever to travel to matches. According to a recent study published by Virgin Money, 46 per cent of Premiership supporters, said they had gone to fewer games this season, 41 percent in the championship, 37 per cent in League One and 35 per cent in League Two. Virgin said its price index for Football Fans showed that the cost of going to games has risen by 17 percent since early 2006. One in seven state supporters to be playing at least 10 less this year because they can not afford it. 41% of fans said they had reduced the number of games in 2006 went to go to games, at least, 10 fewer than last year.
